MISSION STATEMENT

WE, the members of the Hudson Falls Police Department, are committed to providing ethical, quality and responsive service to the community with pride and professionalism.

WE, are committed to improving the quality of life for those we serve by delivering the highest standard of police services.

Chief’s Message: I am committed to the mission of this Police Department being an organization whose very existence is based on fair and impartial service to all members of this community. Our Officers will continue to engage members of this community with respect and dignity as we perform our law  enforcement duties.

I am equally committed to hiring, retaining, and developing highly motivated, competent, and healthy officers that will serve your public safety needs at the highest level.

Our Police Department will continue to be an agency that is collaborative, transparent, and responsive to the needs of our community. It is with this in mind that I submit the goals of the Hudson Falls Police Department which were crafted following discussions with the Village Board, members of our community and with the Officers that serve this community.

1. Improve Recruitment and retention of Officers.

2. Collaborate with our stakeholders to identify ways to address problems that impact our community such as crime, mental health care, and the opioid epidemic.

3. Find creative ways to build relationships and increase transparency with our community.

4. Develop an Officer Wellness program.

It is important to note that these goals will change as the circumstances and expectations of our community requires us to amend them. I encourage all members of our community to contact me if you would like to offer input on goals for our Police Department. Your input on the operation of our Police Department is always welcome. I can be reached at hfchief@villageofhf.com or 518-747-4011.
