Departments

Board of Trustees – Our Village leaders are comprised of the mayor, four trustees and the Village attorney.

Village Clerk – The Village Clerk is responsible for attending Village Board Meetings and recording accurate minutes of the proceedings, maintaining files of all official records, Licenses, Ordinances and Resolutions of the Village.

Code Enforcement – Code Enforcement handles concerns from citizens that affect the quality of life within the Village such as zoning, overgrown lots or yards, unregistered vehicles, maintenance of structures, and public nuisances. Periodic inspections are also performed throughout the Village to ensure properties are in compliance with the Village code.

Planning Board – The Village Planning Board approves site plans, special permits, subdivisions and signs. It also gives recommendations to the Zoning Board of Appeals for all variance requests.

Zoning Board – The Zoning Board of Appeals approves area and use variances from interpretations of the zoning code.

Public Works – The Department of Public Works is responsible for the care and maintenance of Village streets, public lots and buildings, and infrastructure. Snow plowing, ice control, street sweeping and leaf pickup are performed.

Kingsbury Court – On April 4, 2016 the Village of Hudson Falls Justice Court closed. The Town of Kingsbury Justice Court now has jurisdiction over all justice court matters in the Village.

Police Department – Our police department covers the 1.9 square miles of our Village.

Animal Control – ACO Todd Humiston {812-6898} handles complaints for the Village.

Fire Department – Our fire department operates out of station 1 located at 220 Main Street.
